 How To Start Writing

One of the toughest parts of the writing process, no matter the type of project, can be

s t a r t i n g the dang journey.

Try this:

  • Put a timer on for 5 minutes (I know… that sounds doable, right?!), and WRITE.

  • Let yourself just remember that your writing muscles are intact, and don’t put ANY pressure on yourself to produce a specific outcome. Just allow yourself to express.

  • After the 5 minute writing time, notice what you were able to let out, and check in with your body to see what writing flow FEELS like for you.
