"If you are looking for a consultant this cycle or any form of application guidance, I cannot recommend Camila enough. My sessions with Camila were the absolute best investment I have ever made for myself or my future. I truly would not have applied to the schools I was accepted to if it were not for Camila. The entire admissions process would be so much easier if every applicant had someone as supportive and helpful as Camila. Thank you Camila for making dreams come true!"
Standing out as a law applicant is not about competing with others.
It is about writing so truthfully, courageously and confidently that the reader automatically connects to the themes and threads of your life and vision.
It is about showing up to your interviews with a clear goal of what to highlight about your experiences and how to name your unique interests.
It is about expressing your value so specifically and clearly that no school can question your self-awareness.
It is about inviting programs into the legacy you are already building.
It is about illustrating the sincerity of your passion, skills and capabilities.
Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing and start getting obsessed with why you already belong in the law programs that you are applying to.

“Camila was incredibly helpful with reviewing my personal and diversity statements for law school applications. It can be difficult to make the best edits to your own writing, especially when you are already stressed about the importance of the writing. Camila's experience knowing what admissions officers are looking for was invaluable, but she also made sure to help me draft a statement that was also authentic to my story and experiences. She is professional but easy to talk to when discussing how to make your personal statement stronger, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for expert advice on their application materials.”
You deserve a coach that is invested in your well-being, your success and your integrity - not just your numbers.
I have over a decade of admissions coaching experience and 5+ years of working with law school applicants. This process can be A LOT to manage and is demanding of your time, energy and resources.
My coaching style will focus on you as a whole person and uplift you throughout the application journey so that you feel supported and clear on how to tell your story in the most compelling and effective way.
In order for you to reach your highest potential in the law admissions process, every corner of your application needs to be intentional and sincere. Together, we can make that happen.
A. T., NYU Law School, Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar (Full Scholarship)
“When I was applying to law school, I asked for Camila’s help with my personal statement. I have always enjoyed writing but I felt stuck in a cycle of rephrasing the same anecdotes and lists of accomplishments. I had previously sought help from others who offered general feedback and corrections to word choice or sentence structure. Camila on the other hand, helped me see how each word and sentence contributed to the statement as a whole and pinpointed the areas I needed to improve.
When we spoke, Camila came prepared with exercises that helped me to identify themes and trends in my writing. She helped me to generate specific ideas through her targeted questions and thoughtful observations. She was patient and considerate, but also very direct which helped me to see the potential in what I had already written and put me on a path to writing a cohesive and compelling story. The specificity of her feedback and advice as well as her enthusiasm for my self-expression reminded me why I love creative writing.”
Common themes among applicants:
Don't want to brag or come off as arrogant
Don't want to write a “sob” story
Worried about what the admissions committee will want/expect
Feeling not good enough (no matter what score or GPA)
Stuck in inaction because of fear of not doing the “right” thing
Focusing on “the competition”
Solutions:
Tell your truth
Focus on your lane and your story
Give attention to what you CAN control
Transform your mindset
Be intentional about all facets of your application
Make choices rooted in your values + integrity
Take the process one step at a time

“Camila's feedback and guidance on my law school application personal statement was invaluable. She helped me identify specific ways to refine my decent statement and turn it into what I believe is an excellent one. She genuinely understands my reality as a BIPOC first gen law school applicant. She has the emotional intelligence, experience, and discernment to help me see how I can use my reality as rich, loamy soil for not only my personal statement, but also for a career in the law. I was accepted into my top choice law school in Canada after working with Camila. I can't recommend her enough, and I am grateful for her support.”

“Camila was instrumental in helping me shape the perfect narrative I wanted to articulate in my personal statements and diversity statements during my law school application cycle. Camila's ability to break down my story into a coherent outline was essential to crafting the message and purpose I wanted to convey to the institutions I sought to study at. More so, I advanced my writing skills through our experience which continue to be useful as I complete my studies.”

I understand that each applicant has unique needs and financial resources. I will do my best to come up with a plan that aligns with your unique needs. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots for applicants experiencing financial hardship. Please inquire directly with me about this and share about your financial situation/budget.

I wish it was this simple but typically, the more we work together on your whole application, the better the outcomes tend to be. 8-15 sessions is a typical starting range among clients.

I work meticulously and am intentional with every note, comment, feedback, strategy and encouragement that I can offer. My goal is that you walk away from our work together with admissions offers AND new levels of confidence and clarity in your story and potential for your future.

It is impossible to guarantee admissions (that’s shady af, actually). The only thing I can promise is that I will be fully committed and present with you and your materials in order to help you stand out as much as possible, have as many options as possible and as much $$$ offered to you as possible.

I come at this with heart, strategy and skill that is hard to come by. If that combo speaks to you, you are in the right place. I have written myself into several highly selective programs including a Fulbright fellowship, thousands of dollars in scholarships for various programs and have coached dozens and dozens of applicants (over 50 law applicants) into all levels of rankings, resources and specialties. This work is my jam. If you want a coach that is gonna laugh and cry with you, challenge every step of the way and speak life into your character and goals - let’s get to work. :)
PS: A lot of people have encouraged me to go to law school, and I could, it just simply is not my passion. Helping you get there is my passion.

Brendan McGovern, UVA Law School Class of 2027
“When I first met Camila, my mindset was determined by everything I read online. Reddit, Law School Data and Admissions Predictors led me to believe that my LSAT score would prevent me from being admitted at top law schools. I believed that my LSAT score left me with virtually no chance of being admitted to the schools I wanted to attend that I would be lucky to get into even a top 20. I explained to her that there was no point in applying to several top schools because the online predictions gave me a seven to eight percent chance of being admitted.
Camila took the time to get to know me, my goals, and my interests before diving into my materials. She helped me completely rework every detail of my resume, personal statement, diversity statement, interest statements, and scholarship essays, prepped me for interviews, read over emails to admissions offices, and helped me negotiate higher scholarships. She worked closely with me to identify how aspects of my background, identity, and experiences could strengthen what I have to offer schools, and this process produced essays and complete applications that perfectly showcased everything I had to offer as an applicant. Admittedly, it took a few acceptances for me to fully believe her when she told me I was capable of getting into the schools I was interested in. She helped me demystify the admissions process by showing me that I was capable of overcoming a below-median LSAT.
I am just as grateful for the outcomes of my cycle as I am for the change mindset that I have having worked with Camila. Her coaching has given me the clarity and confidence that I not only will bring into law school but each new application and essay I write. Camila’s holistic coaching helped me articulate my skills and talents in a way that is true to myself and my capabilities.
Studying for the LSAT, drafting application materials and applying to schools can feel so overwhelming and isolating, and I couldn't be more grateful to have Camila’s support and encouragement through every step of my cycle. Camila provided a level of care, attention and detail I never would have received working with large commercial firms like Spivey, PowerScore or 7Sage. Camila was there for me through every decision, status update and phone call and it was so incredibly helpful to have her support through the ups and downs of the cycle.
If you are looking for a consultant this cycle or any form of application guidance, I cannot recommend Camila enough. My sessions with Camila were the absolute best investment I have ever made for myself or my future. I truly would not have applied to the schools I was accepted to if it were not for Camila. The entire admissions process would be so much easier if every applicant had someone as supportive and helpful as Camila. Thank you Camila for making dreams come true!”

“Working with Camila was an absolute game-changer in my long journey to law school.
When I found out that she was becoming a writing and admissions coach, I immediately knew that I wanted to ask for her help. And I'm so glad I did!
I've always known her to be someone committed to her social justice values. This is ESPECIALLY important if you're someone who is interested in public interest law. She knows what it is like being first-gen, coming from working-class and immigrant backgrounds, and has experience navigating admissions as a person of color. I didn't have to re-explain anything; she understood the issues and challenges I faced and was going through.
I will always be grateful for Camila's unwavering enthusiasm, care, and support. Our relationship, which began in 2020, has grown over the years. She didn't just coach me through my writing; she helped me find my voice, build confidence in my values, and understand why I was a valuable addition to any law school. I found that answer while working with her.
She kept me accountable to my timeline, letting me outline at my own pace before moving on to the actual writing. She helped me identify some of my barriers, like imposter syndrome. She listened to me when others weren't, showing up 100% of the time and giving me her full attention. She taught me to ask for help, explore resources at law school campuses, do thorough research, and meet with faculty and staff.
And I got admitted! The first admissions reply I received was an acceptance to my dream law school! And I also got admitted to several other great schools after that.
Navigating the admissions process, preparing for interviews, negotiating scholarships ($ $ $ $, close to a million plus in scholarship funding offers!!!), and making admissions decisions was a tough time for me, and I am not sure I would have as well without Camila's support.
So, if you're still reading this and trying to decide on your why, how, where, and when, know that Camila is the person who can help you find those answers—she will gracefully guide you every step of the way. Reaching out to her could be the best decision you make on your path to getting into law school.”
